An invitation to attend a lunchtime talk.

Rob Hann, Sharpe Pritchard’s Head of Local Government, will tell the inspirational story of SAS Operation Galia, using his family’s personal archive of original photographs.

Background:

During his fascinating talk, Rob will explain how a small force of 33 highly-trained SAS paratroopers, one of whom was Rob’s late father, Stanley Hann, aided by brave local partisans, successfully managed to prevent a major enemy offensive on the West coast of Italy, whilst convincing the enemy that a much larger force had landed, forcing the enemy to commit over 6,000 front-line troops to search the Apennine mountains for the SAS squadron.
