Westminster Law School is pleased to invite you to Philip Kolvin's lecture 'An Ethical Social Economy'.

About Philip Kolvin

Called to the Bar in 1985, Philip Kolvin became a KC in 2009 and a Recorder of the Crown Court in 2017. He practises from the public law chambers 11 KBW.

Specialising in the regulation of leisure environments, he is a Patron of the Institute of Licensing and a board member of the Sports Grounds Safety Authority and The Loop. He is a past Chair of the Institute, the Night Time Commission for London, Best Bar None and Purple Flag.

Widely published, Philip's books include Licensed Premises: Law, Practice and Policy; Gambling for Local Authorities: Licensing, Planning and Regeneration, and Sex Licensing.

The event, which is open to all, is organised by the Centre for Law, Society and Popular Culture at the University of Westminster. Founded in 1996, the centre draws together work from the Westminster Law School and beyond.
