Disrepair Session

The Coronavirus pandemic and resulting lockdowns may now be a fading memory but their effects are still with us, not least in the case of property maintenance and housing conditions claims. A backlog of works, coupled with a shortage of contractors and building supplies, means that repairs are now taking longer to complete. As a result, housing providers now find themselves facing an increasing number of breach of settlement claims, due to matters beyond their control. This session will explore the law in this area and the remedies available to landlords seeking to defeat or mitigate such claims.
