The content of the course has been developed after analysing all the competencies required for the IoM DPO role. Our teaching style is based on practical and engaging workshops covering theory alongside hands-on application using case studies that equip delegates with knowledge and skills that can be used immediately.

Delegates will have personal tutor support throughout the course and access to a comprehensive online resource lab ensuring they have the best opportunity for success.

The course takes place over four days (one day per week) either online or in classroom, and involves lectures, discussion and practical exercises followed by a practical assessment

Structure

This course is set over four days, one day per week either online or in classroom. Each day is designed to develop delegates' ability to understand and apply the IoM DP law in a practical context using case studies and exercises. On completion of the course, delegates are required to complete a practical assessment within 30 days.

The four teaching days are followed by an online assessment and a practical project to be completed within one month. The project will be independently marked by a GDPR expert and feedback given.

Please note this is an advanced course requiring some knowledge of the DPA and GDPR. If you do not have this we recommend you attend our one day GDPR workshop before booking.
