Part 3 of the Data Protection Act 2018 implements the EU Law Enforcement Directive which regulates the processing of personal data for the purposes of criminal investigations, criminal penalties and public security.
Part 3 does not just apply to law enforcement agencies but also to regulatory bodies as well as local authorities, government departments and courts.This one-day workshop will explain all the key provisions of Part 3 as well as the similarities and differences with the UK GDPR. It is ideal for data protection officers and information governance professionals requiring a better understanding of Part 3 of the DPA and how it overlaps with the UK GDPR.
