The new regulatory regime marks a significant change in how heat network services are governed and overseen. It is designed to improve consumer protection, service standards and transparency, and will introduce new compliance obligations for those who own and operate heat networks.
This focused webinar is aimed at landlords involved in the provision or oversight of heat networks.
It will provide a practical overview of Ofgem’s forthcoming role as regulator, explain who the new rules apply to, and outline the key duties landlords will need to meet.
This will include the challenges raised by having to ‘retrofit’ the new rules onto existing long leaseholds, secure and assured tenancy agreements, and on the new requirements relating to heat supply contracts and back-billing.
Designed as an accessible introduction rather than a technical deep dive, the webinar will help landlords understand their roles, responsibilities and readiness ahead of the new regulatory regime coming into force.
