Authorities name four law firms to legal advice framework

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and High Peak Borough Council have named four law firms to a legal advice framework.
The firms selected were:
- Ashfords;
- Freeth Cartwright;
- Knights;
- Weightmans.
They will provide legal advice and services to support planning, developmental control, environmental enforcement, data protection and freedom of information advice.
The award criteria was the most economically advantageous tender in terms of fees/price (weighting 75) and quality/added value (weighting 25).
The two authorities have had a strategic alliance since 2007, and share a chief executive and a senior management team.
