London universities name seven law firms to £52m panel

The London Universities Purchasing Consortium has named seven law firms to legal services panels worth up to £52m.
The LUPC, which has more than 60 universities and colleges as members, has selected:
- Eversheds;
- Farrer & Co;
- Michelmores;
- Mills & Reeve;
- Muckle;
- SGH Martineau;
- Veale Wasbrough Vizards.
The procurement exercise was launched in April this year. Thirteen offers were received, the consortium said.
The firms were appointed on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender in terms of service (weighting 75) and price (weighting 25). The agreement will last for three years, subject to one renewal.
