NHS Shared Business Services to procure next £80m legal services framework

NHS Shared Business Services has issued a prior information notice on its next legal services framework, which is estimated to be worth up to £80m.

It said: “The aim of the Legal Advisory Services Framework agreement is to cover the vast legal spectrum and meet the current demand and needs of the NHS organisations and other public sector bodies.”

The framework is to be divided into the following lots:

  1. NHS Governance & Public Law
  2. Primary Care Services
  3. Healthcare Law
  4. Mental Health Law
  5. Employment Law
  6. Contract and Commercial Law
  7. Property Law
  8. Construction Law
  9. IT, Telecommunications & E-Commerce
  10. Corporate Finance & PFI/PPP projects including LIFT
  11. Multi-Disciplinary Project Support

In the PIN NHS Shared Business Services said it was looking to define and develop its national procurement strategy and help in the development of its service specification to meet the needs of NHS Organisations and wider Public Sectors.

The organisation said it was engaging with potential providers prior to the release of any official tender documentation.

In June 2018 NHS Shared Business Services appointed 28 law firms to its current framework agreement, which was originally estimated to be worth £100m.
