James McHugh

James’ housing practice covers a wide variety of litigation including possession proceedings, anti-social behaviour injunctions, tenancy deposits, unlawful eviction and disrepair. He has a particular interest in cases involving discrimination under the Equality Act 2010.

Prior to coming to the bar James worked for a national advice charity and has experience both advising and working with third sector housing providers.

Morgan Brien

Morgan's practice covers all aspects of housing law including landlord & tenant disputes, anti-social behaviour, unlawful evictions and disrepair claims. He has appeared in closure order appeals; injunction applications and committal hearings.

Morgan also has experience of dealing with Housing matters with a criminal and regulatory involvement, including offences relating to improvement notices and houses in multiple occupation. As member of the Attorney General's Regional C Panel of Counsel, Morgan is regularly instructed by the Government Legal Department.
