Consortium of social housing providers to procure latest multi-million pound legal services framework

The Central Housing Investment Consortium (CHIC) of social housing providers and local authorities is to procure a four-year, multi-million pound legal services framework agreement.
The contract is to be divided into the following lots:
- Corporate, Governance and Finance Legal Advice.
- Housing & Asset Management Legal Advice.
- Property & Development Legal Advice.
CHIC has around 90 members which over half a million social housing homes across the Midlands, South and South Wales.
The tender is being run on CHIC’s behalf by legal management consultancy Kennedy Cater.
In June 2016 CHIC named 17 law firms to its first framework agreement, which was an estimated £70m over four years.
All the law firms on the current framework, which is scheduled to last until 30 June 2020, agreed discounted hourly rates (30% on average) and an extensive range of fixed fees (over 200) across all lots.
