Public Law Project appoints Pickup as new Legal Director

The Public Law Project has appointed Alison Pickup of Doughty Street Chambers as its new Legal Director.

Jo Hickman, the Public Law Project's Director, said: “Alison is a brilliant strategic lawyer, and we are delighted that she has agreed to lead our legal team.”

Mark Dembovsky, CEO at Doughty Street Chambers said: “Although we are sad to see Alison go we are delighted that she is joining such a highly respected organisation as PLP. We know that her dedication and expertise will further enhance the excellent work that they do.”

Pickup will remain an Associate Tenant at Doughty Street.

PLP said it was also seeking a Deputy Legal Director to work closely with the newly appointed Legal Director.
