North East council to procure legal services for insurance claims

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council has launched the procurement of legal services for litigation in relation to insurance claims.
The local authority said: “The work and claims against the council are tied in with the Councils Insurance Programme since the insurers may have an interest in the final outcome/settlement of the claim.”
The contract is scheduled to commence on 1 April 2020 and will be for a period of two years.
The contract will be subject to the option of a 1 x 12-month extension period
