Winckworth Sherwood hires senior lawyers to spearhead local government expansion

Winckworth Sherwood has hired two senior lawyers from LG as part of a drive to expand its local government practice.
Simon Randall, who has advised a range of local authorities on externalisation and alternative service delivery options, and Joanna Bussell, a projects specialist, join as consultant and partner respectively.
Randall, who was awarded a CBE in 1991 for his London housing and local government work, will lead a consultancy team of specialists at Winckworth Sherwood in the finance, leisure, heritage and culture areas.
Randall said: “The experience we bring will enable the firm to assist clients to capitalise on increasing opportunities in outsourcing, regeneration and partnerships with the social enterprise sector.”
