Staffordshire names Director of Law as interim chief executive

Staffordshire County Council has appointed its Director of Democracy, Law and Transformation, John Tradewell, as its interim chief executive.
Tradewell replaces Nick Bell, who has joined Prospects Group, an education, employment and training company. He will be blogging on his experiences as chief executive.
His appointment comes at the same time as Bradford Metropolitan District Council named its City Solicitor, Suzan Hemingway, as its interim chief executive.
Hemingway replaced Tony Reeves after he left to join Deloitte’s public sector advisory practice.
