Government Commercial Agency names suppliers to £600m legal services framework for all public sector

The Government Commercial Agency has named more than 80 law firms and costs lawyers to a framework for the provision of legal services for all the public sector.
The agency said this includes but is not limited to “Local and Regional Government, Health, Education, Infrastructure, Emergency Services, Central Government and Third Sector organisations”.
The framework has been divided into the following lots:
- Lot 1a. Full Legal Service Provision for all Public Sector
- Lot 1b. Full Legal Service Provision for Local Government and Local Communities (including Housing & Charity sectors)
- Lot 1c. Full Legal Service Provision for Health and Social Care
- Lot 2. Focused Legal Support
- Lot 3. Litigation and Disputes
- Lot 4. Projects and Complex Advice including PPP
- Lot 5. Transport and Rail
- Lot 6. Costs Lawyer Services

The contract is due to run from 30 July 2026 to 29 July 2029 with a possible extension for 12 months and then a further 12 months to 29 July 2031.
The tender notice issued in February 2026 estimated the value of the framework at £600m.
The framework consolidates two existing frameworks RM6240 Public Sector Legal Services and RM6284 Costs Lawyer Services 2 into a single agreement.
