Barnet Homes awards law firm £560k contract for housing and tenant support

Barnet Homes has chosen law firm Judge & Priestley to provide housing and tenant legal support and advice on disrepairs and leasehold management.
Five providers made offers for the £560,000 contract. Judge & Priestley, which is based in Bromley in Kent, secured the appointment on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender in terms of written information (weighting 50), price (weighting 35) and interview (weighting 15).
Barnet Homes manages and maintains 15,000 council homes. In April 2012 it became one of the first arm’s length organisations in the country to taken on additional housing services.
In February 2012 it became part of The Barnet Group, a local authority trading company owned by the London Borough of Barnet.
