North West housing provider to appoint legal advisers to £1m+ contract

A social housing provider in the North West, Regenda Group, is to appoint advisers to a legal services framework potentially worth more than £1m over three years.

The Bolton-headquartered group said: “The legal services required will be those usually associated with a provider of social housing but can broadly fall into the categories of governance, including merger and acquision; HR; development and general housing management.

“It is anticipated that this contract will run for a period of three years from April 2016 with the possibility of an extension for a further two years.”

Regenda Group estimated the value over a three-year contract to be between £450,000 and £1.05m. It is envisaged that the framework will be sub-divided into lots.

The Regenda Group comprises Regenda Limited (trading as Regenda Homes), a registered provider and owner of the largest portion of the group’s social rented stock. It has nearly 10,000 properties in the North West.

Regenda Limited has two wholly owned subsidiaries Redwing Living and M&Y Maintenance & Construction.

Redwing Living is also a registered provider whose primary focus is shared ownership, private rented, market rent, commercial leases and outright sale. It also has a wholly owned subsidiary, McDonald Property Rentals, a lettings agency in Lancashire.

M&Y is the Group's repairs and maintenance provider and also provides planned maintenance.
