Government to set up £90m panel for finance and complex legal services

The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) is to set up a panel agreement for finance and complex legal services worth an estimated £90m over a four-year period.

The CCS said: “This panel agreement covers external legal advice and full project support required by Central Government and its associated bodies, for finance and highly complex transactions including complex finance, capital markets, regulatory complex work and the most, innovative and/or strategically important projects for Central Government.

“Suppliers shall be able to offer market leading legal expertise and a market leading level of service in order to meet panel customer needs to deliver their most complex and challenging projects and matters.”

Suppliers will be expected to provide all the specified mandatory specialisms. The panel will also cover certain optional specialisms.

The panel will be made available to Crown Bodies and other permitted users.

The agreement will be for an initial period of two years, with the option to extend for up to two further periods of 12 consecutive months.

The time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 15:00 on 12 June 2017.
