Utilities giant to seek legal advisers for capital project worth up to £500m

United Utilities Water has given notice that it is potentially looking to engage with external legal service providers in relation to a large scale capital investment project.

The company said: “The likely scale of this project is anticipated being in the region of £100m to £500m whole life cost.

“United Utilities will be looking to engage specialist legal firms capable of working in a project team environment delivering the legal construct that will allow us to formally engage with the market for the design, build, operate, maintain and financing of a proportion of our future network.”

It has asked would-be suppliers to provide one or more case studies demonstrating previous contracts of a similar nature.
