County to appoint SEN and disability specialist legal services provider

Worcestershire County Council is to select a provider to deliver special educational needs and disability specialist legal services.
The £85,000 contract will begin on 01 October 2017 and run until 30 September 2018.
Worcestershire said it “requires a provider to provide specialist legal services to support the council in respect of its statutory duties regarding the assessment of children and young people with special educational needs & or disabilities (SEND).
“The provider will offer advice and assistance with general SEND casework queries as well as act on behalf of the local authority for SEND first tier (or upper tier) tribunal appeals of the council's choosing.”
