Council names four firms to £1.54m insurance legal services contract

Norfolk County Council has appointed four law firms to a contract to provide legal services to its in-house insurance team.
Legal representation is required by the insurance team to predominately help support the delivery of the claims service, the local authority said.
The contract, which is worth an estimated £1.54m, was awarded on the basis of quality (weighting: 70) and price (weighting: 30).
The successful firms were:
- BLM
- Browne Jacobson LLP
- Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP
- Plexus Law
The initial framework term is 24 months. At the council's discretion the framework may be extended by up to 24 months.

£112,237.10 - £117,225.41 per annum
Antisocial Behaviour Legal Officer
£35,833 per annum, rising to £37,356 after probation
Contracts Lawyer
£46,498 - £59,145 depending on skills and experience.
Regulatory/Litigation Lawyer
£46,498 - £59,145 depending on skills and experience.
Deputy Director Legal and Democratic Services
£94,812 per annum
Governance Lawyer
£46,498 - £59,145 depending on skills and experience.
