Government department appoints law firm to advise on Heat Networks guidance
- Details
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has appointed law firm Womble Bond Dickinson to advise on guidance for Heat Networks projects.
The Womble Bond Dickinson team, led by partner Charles Robson, will work with the Heat Networks Delivery Unit within BEIS to develop guidance for local authorities and other public bodies on developing Heat Networks projects in collaboration with non-public investors across the UK.
The engagement follows Womble Bond Dickinson's appointment to the Crown Commercial Services panel for all Central Government, providing a full-service of legal expertise across a range of disciplines, including general commercial, litigation and employment advice.
Robson said: "We look forward to working with BEIS in developing this important guidance. The development of heat networks in the UK is at an important crossroads and we hope this guidance will play a part in broadening the range of players and the structures used to deliver these schemes."
