Information watchdog names two firms to advise on debt recovery for unpaid penalties imposed after GDPR or PECR contraventions

The Information Commissioner’s Office has appointed two law firms to act for it in enforcing the payment of debts arising from unpaid penalties issued for serious contraventions of the UK GDPR or PECR.
The firms appointed by the ICO’s ICO Financial Recovery Unit are:
- Wilkin Chapman
- DWF
The contract started on 6 March 2023 and runs until 5 March 2026.
