Scottish councils seeking tenders for £22m legal services framework
Edinburgh Council has published a contract notice on behalf of 14 other Scottish councils for a legal services framework worth an estimated £22m.
The contract will be divided into the following six lots:
- Commercial
- Property and Planning
- Litigation
- Employment
- Major Projects and Investigations
- Debt Recovery
The framework will serve the following councils:
- The City of Edinburgh Council
- Stirling Council
- West Lothian Council
- East Lothian Council
- Midlothian Council
- Falkirk Council
- The Highland Council
- East Dunbartonshire Council
- Aberdeen City Council
- Aberdeenshire Council
- South Ayrshire Council
- Orkney Islands Council
- Shetland Islands Council
- Inverclyde Council
- Dumfries and Galloway Council
There will be up to 23 framework participants.
According to the selection criteria, tenderers are required to have a minimum “general” annual turnover for the last two financial years, which varies based on the lot. The turnover for each lot should be:
- lot 1 - £368,300
- lot 2 - £656,625
- lot 3 - £474,800
- lot 4 - £238,500
- lot 5 - £681,500
- lot 6 - £425,000
The deadline to submit a tender is 26 June 2023.
