North West Legal Consortium to procure 2024-2028 solicitors framework
The North West Legal Consortium has fired the gun on the procurement of its next solicitors framework, which is estimated to be worth £25m.
The closing date is 8 December 2023 (12pm),
The contract is due to start on 1 May 2024 and run until 30 April 2028.
Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council is acting as lead contracting authority for the NWLC, which has more than 40 members comprising councils, combined authorities, police and crime commissioners, and other organisations.
In 2020 the NWLC named 14 firms to its current framework:
- Addleshaw Goddard
- Bevan Brittan
- BLM (now Clyde & Co)
- Brabners
- Browne Jacobson
- DAC Beachcroft
- DLA Piper
- DWF
- Freeths
- Geldards
- Plexus Law
- Sharpe Pritchard
- TLT Solicitors
- Weightmans
Four of these firms were awarded partner status. They were:
- Bevan Brittan
- DAC Beachcroft
- Geldards
- Weightmans
The value of the NWLC’s solicitors framework has grown significantly since the consortium named 18 law firms in 2016 to a four-year framework which was then estimated to be worth £10m.
