Procurement body to undertake market engagement on proposed £100m framework for barrister services
- Details
Public sector procurement organisation YPO is to undertake preliminary market engagement to establish an "easier and compliant route to market" for public sector organisations requiring barrister services under the Procurement Act 2023.
It said this would be a new solution to YPO, and it required engagement from chambers “to ensure we have a fit-for-purpose solution in place for public sector customers to call off”.
The estimated total value of the contract is £100m.
YPO will be holding pre-engagement sessions from 4 November – 22 November 2024. More information can be found here.
The estimated date of publication of the contract notice is 10 March 2025.
In June this year YPO announced the procurement of its latest legal services framework, which has 13 lots and is estimated to be worth up to £2bn.
YPO said the aim of the barrister services framework was to provide an additional offering to this legal services framework, which it said it had recently awarded. It is understood that a contract award notice is yet to be published.
