Largest council in Scotland names nine providers to £22m legal services framework
Glasgow City Council has appointed nine firms to a legal services framework estimated to be worth £22m over four years.
The framework has been divided into the following lots:
- Employment
- Corporate
- General Litigation
- Children and Families
- Property
- Construction
The selected firms were:
- Anderson Strathern (2, 5, 6)
- Brodies (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)
- CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang (6)
- DWF (6)
- Harper Macleod (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)
- JK Cameron (4)
- Morton Fraser MacRoberts (2, 3)
- Shepherd and Wedderburn (2, 5, 6)
- Thorntons Law (1, 5)
Glasgow said the finalised agreement would be used to complement the council’s internal Legal Services Department “where expertise and/or additional resource is required externally”.
The framework will be made available to various public bodies in Glasgow as well as Argyll and Bute Council, East Ayrshire Council, East Renfrewshire Council, Falkirk Council, Fife Council, Inverclyde Council, North Ayrshire Council, Perth & Kinross Council, Scottish Borders Council, Shetland Islands Council, South Lanarkshire Council, and West Dunbartonshire Council.
