Birmingham City Council this week instructed Richard Clayton QC, of Kings Chambers and 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square, and Sam Skinner of Kings Chambers to obtain an injunction at the High Court against to prevent unlawful trespass in the £183m Library of Birmingham.
A statement on the Kings Chambers website said: “The trespassers had attracted significant media attention by protesting against austerity cuts, and the case raised important issues of human rights guaranteed under articles 10 and 11 of the [European Convention on Human Rights].”
