Browne Jacobson advises Homes England on largest West Midlands regeneration project agreement

Law firm Browne Jacobson has advised Homes England on its agreement, in partnership with Walsall Council, with Henry Boot PLC for the largest regeneration project in the West Midlands, Phoenix 10.

Contracts have now been exchanged on the £73m development scheme, which is being funded by Walsall Council, Homes England, the Black Country LEP and the West Midlands Combined Authority.

The 44-acre development site is located in Walsall, near junction 10 of the M6 and is the largest undeveloped brownfield site in the Black Country.

When complete, it will be a centre for enterprise offering units ranging from 21,000 sq. ft. to 415,000 sq. ft., attracting new jobs and much needed investment to the region.

Zo Hoida, real estate partner who led the Browne Jacobson team, said: “This project reflects the confidence in the region in a post pandemic world. It will have a transformative impact on the region, and we are delighted to have advised Homes England on the collaboration with its public sector partner and in a working partnership with the private sector in turning a challenging site into an opportunity for economic activity in the region.”
