Devonshires has bolstered its Housing Management & Property Litigation practice with the appointment of Rebecca Eastwood as Partner.

The hire of Eastwood, who will be based in the firm’s Leeds office, follows the arrivals of Aoife Murphy and Mandeep Sahota as partners in January.

Eastwood advises on both contentious and non‑contentious housing management and property litigation work. She acts predominantly for registered providers of social housing, as well as private landlords, charities, cooperatives and trust estates.

Her specialism is in advising clients in matters that often sit at the intersection of legal, regulatory and operational risk, Devonshires said.

Commenting on her appointment, Eastwood said: “I am delighted to be joining Devonshires and to be part of a team that is so highly regarded by its clients in the social housing sector. The breadth of expertise within the Housing Management & Property Litigation practice is particularly impressive, and I am looking forward to contributing to the team’s continued growth and success.”

Lee Russell, Devonshires’ Joint Head of Housing Management & Property Litigation, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Rebecca to Devonshires. She is a fantastic addition to the team and brings with her a wealth of experience in housing management and property litigation. Her appointment not only strengthens the depth and breadth of expertise we offer our clients but also marks another important step in growing our presence in the North, and in particular Leeds, as we continue building a truly national, market‑leading practice.”
