Former head of GLD and Cornerstone Barristers KC among those recognised in King’s Birthday Honours

The former Treasury Solicitor and Permanent Secretary, Government Legal Department, Susanna McGibbon KC (Hon), has been made a Dame Commander of the Order of the Bath in the King’s Birthday Honours List.
McGibbon stepped down earlier this year after five years as Treasury Solicitor and Permanent Secretary of the GLD and 33 years’ service in a range of roles in the Government Legal Profession.
She was succeeded by Douglas Wilson KC (Hon).
Two other members of the GLD received recognition for services to the law, with Jane Hill, Legal Director, Department for Business and Trade Legal Advisers made a CBE.
Fleur Ruda, Deputy Director, Employment Rights, Department of Business and Trade Legal Advisers was meanwhile given an OBE.
Estelle Dehon KC of Cornerstone Barristers was also given an OBE, for services to environmental law.
