Winckworth Sherwood strengthens regulatory and social housing finance teams

Winckworth Sherwood has this month bolstered its regulatory and compliance and social housing finance teams with partner and senior associate hires.

The new arrivals are:

  • Partner Jon Baldwin, a specialist in procurement, state aid and public and administrative law. He returns to the firm from Trowers & Hamlins, where he worked in the public sector commercial team.
  • Partner Toni Vitale, a data and information specialist who joins from Addleshaw Goddard.
  • Senior associate Deborah Rowntree, who joins the firm from Osborne Clarke, where she was an Associate Director in the banking team in Bristol.

Richard Tinham, Head of Winckworth Sherwood’s Commercial and Corporate team, said: “The appointments of Toni and Jon are a strong addition to the firm and demonstrate our commitment to support our clients through the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulations, but also with the changing face of regulatory obligations both now, and through the course of Brexit.

“Toni and Jon are experts in their respective areas in the market and will help us make the most of the opportunities surrounding data, privacy, public procurement, state aid and other regulated issues.”

Louise Leaver, Partner and Head of Social Housing Finance, said: “Our specialist Social Housing Finance team is growing as the appetite and demand for complex financing arrangements grows.  We are delighted by Deborah’s decision to join the firm and look forward to the contribution she will bring.”
