Bevan Brittan bolsters construction and infrastructure with double hire

Bevan Brittan has expanded its capability in the construction and infrastructure sectors with two senior appointments.

Pippa Beesley has joined from Mundays as a partner while Martha Mordecai has joined as a senior associate from REN Legal Management.

Beesley has substantial knowledge of public sector led, large-scale, high value development schemes.

Bevan Brittan said she will “focus primarily on new investment and infrastructure projects involving local government, education authorities, housing providers - and private sector developers and joint-venture partners”.

Beesley said: “I am naturally excited about joining Bevan Brittan which has a strong legal team and reputation in the marketplace, and at a time when many areas of the country are seeing high levels of new development - particularly within the public sector, where local authorities are taking the lead in bringing public-private partnerships together.”

Mordecai specialises in contentious construction contract and dispute work.

She said: “I am very pleased to have joined Bevan Brittan, and its strong team serving the construction industry. In this regard, the firm is recognised for the high quality of its work across public and private sector organisations and I am looking forward to being closely involved with a range of clients.”

Andrew Tobin, head of commercial and infrastructure at Bevan Brittan, said: “I would like to welcome both Pippa and Martha. Bevan Brittan is now a market leader in providing high quality legal advice across a wide range of sectors. Our particular focuses of major regeneration, social housing and education require top quality lawyers, and we are delighted to have been able to bring Pippa and Martha onto the team.”
