Infrastructure planning specialist moves to Francis Taylor Building

Michael Fry, who formerly practised as an employed barrister in the real estate group of DLA Piper, has joined Francis Taylor Building.

At DLA Piper, Fry advised corporate and private clients on a broad range of planning and public law matters, with a particular focus on major infrastructure development.

He acted for Highways England on the M4 (Junctions 3 to 12) Smart Motorway DCO, National Grid on the North West Coast Connections DCO and has recently spent nine months on secondment to High Speed Two advising on planning, public and real property matters.

Called to the Bar in 2011, Fry was a finalist for Young Employed Barrister of the Year 2017.

Head of Chambers Andrew Tait QC said: “I am delighted to welcome Michael to Chambers. His extensive infrastructure experience will reinforce our strength in this area and he will admirably complement our existing membership”.

Paul Coveney, Senior Clerk, added: “Michael brings with him best practice from a leading law firm, and his return to Chambers demonstrates our commitment to continuing to grow and invest in our areas of practice. We look forward to working with him”.
