National firm Weightmans promotes six to fixed share partnership

National law firm Weightmans has promoted five lawyers and its head of information management and technology to its fixed share partnership.

The new partners are:

  • Ian Critchley: Healthcare, Liverpool
  • James Denison: Litigation, London
  • Jasmine Armstrong: Healthcare, Birmingham
  • Kevin Brown: Information Systems, Liverpool
  • Tom Collins: Real Estate, Liverpool & Manchester
  • Victoria Robertson: Corporate-Commercial, Leeds

Brown has led the firm's IT and data teams at a strategic and operational level for almost eight years. He joins Sarah-Jane Howitt and Sam Airey, non-lawyers who were promoted to partner at Weightmans in 2014 and 2015.

Weightmans’ Managing Partner John Schorah said: “Over the last twelve months we have worked hard to implement our vision for the future of Weightmans, including investing heavily in our people and their development.

“The advancement of the firm and its embrace of technology go hand in hand. As Head of Information Management, Kevin sits on the firm’s Operations Board and is responsible for advising the business on technology delivery and future developments. Having this agenda represented even further at partnership level is a real demonstration of both our commitment to innovation, and understanding of how technology plays an integral part in that vision for the future.

“The firm prides itself on its focus on the client and delivering great service – I have no doubt that all of our new partners will continue to use their experience, work ethic and commercial mindset to achieve the best results for our clients. I offer them my warmest congratulations and look forward to working with them in the next stages of their careers.”
