Planning and NHS property law specialists among four new partners at Bevan Brittan

A planning and infrastructure lawyer and a property specialist with extensive experience of advising the NHS are among four new partners at Bevan Brittan.

Planning lawyer Dalee Kaur, who will be based in London, joins from BDB Pitmans. She has advised in the retail, housing, office, leisure and mixed-use development and regeneration sectors in particular.

Mark Paget Skelin also joins the London office, having previously been at Capsticks. He has 20 years’ experience of supporting healthcare organisations throughout the country on all aspects of their real estate transactions and strategic legal advice, the firm said.

The two other new partners are Marti Burgess, a corporate lawyer who joins from Gregg Latchams, and Christian Hunt, a mergers and acquisitions specialist who was previously at Langleys in York. Burgess will be based in Bristol and Hunt will be based in Leeds.

Duncan Weir, Managing Partner at Bevan Brittan, said: “Our new partners are joining at an exciting time, as we continue to invest in our people and expand the business across a broad range of organisations and market sectors - from owner-managed businesses to multi-national corporations, and from housing associations to local authorities and the NHS.”

He added: “The firm has a clear strategy for a balanced client portfolio that focuses on local and central government, the NHS, independent and social care and the wider housing sector – we have also successfully expanded into new markets including energy, waste management, manufacturing, property development, insurance and financial services. As a result we now advise more than 800 businesses across the country.”
