Landmark Chambers bolsters planning team with arrival of Stemp and Mackenzie

Planning specialists Scott Stemp and George Mackenzie have joined Landmark Chambers.
The set said that Stemp, who was called in 2000, “has particular expertise in planning enforcement, appeals and related prosecutions and acts for a broad range of clients including developers, commercial organisations, private individuals and planning authorities”.
A planning, environmental and regulatory specialist, he also “brings extensive experience in complex and high-profile enforcement matters, frequently appearing in substantial public inquiries involving large residential and mixed-use developments”.
Mackenzie meanwhile specialises in major development and infrastructure consenting.
“He has particular interest and expertise in renewable energy, digital infrastructure, leisure/hospitality, and large-scale housing and regeneration projects,” Landmark Chambers said.
It added: “He is regularly instructed on planning strategy, appeals and inquiries, statutory challenges, local plan examinations and DCO examinations….
“George also advises on the land assembly, CPO and compensation/valuation issues that sit alongside complex schemes.”
