BLM increased turnover to a record £104.1m in 2014/15, a year in which it merged with firms in Scotland and Ireland.
The law firm saw headcount grow by 35% to 1,650 and profit reach £18.3m.
The firm merged with HBM Sayers in Scotland and Campbell Fitzpatrick Solicitors in Ireland during the period.
Senior partner Mike Brown said: “The growth, expansion and development of the firm aren’t just reflected in an increase in turnover and profits. They are reflected in the new business we secure, the nature of the work we are handling and the talent we continue to attract, not just from the legal market but from the insurance market too.
“We have a goal to become one of the leading global risk and insurance law business by 2020 and we’re confident we can do that if we continue on our current path.”
