Council warns of bogus callers claiming to be from its legal team

According to Ashford Borough Council, the callers say that they are contacting their targets following an accident. 

“If you receive one of these calls hang up immediately. Do NOT give them any information as they are not genuine,” the council has said. It urged residents to share this warning with friends and family.

One recipient, Steve Salter, told Kent Online that he became suspicious after noticing that the call was from an international number. He immediately hung up.
