Sutton sets up specialist planning and development law firm

Chad Sutton, a lawyer who has worked for London councils and City law firms, has launched a specialist planning and development law firm.

He was a partner and head of planning at Maples Teesdale from 2013 to 2016 before setting up Planning Clarity Legal this month.

Sutton worked for the London Boroughs of Hillingdon, Ealing and Tower Hamlets between 2003 and 2005. He then spent seven years at Trowers & Hamlins as a senior associate before switching to Maples Teesdale.

He said: “Through Planning Clarity Legal I will use this experience to continue to provide clients with top quality legal advice on planning, highways, building regulations, housing, environmental and judicial review matters.”

Sutton is also a member of the Law Society’s Planning and Environmental Law Committee and a Legal Associate Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
