Social housing contractor Rok heads into administration

Rok has become the latest social housing contractor to go into administration.

In a statement to the London Stock Exchange, the company’s board said it had resolved to put the company into administration and apply to the Financial Services Authority to suspend the listing and trading of its shares.

Four partners at PricewaterhouseCoopers – Robert Hunt, Michael Jervis, Robert Lewis and Jeremy Webb – have been appointed joint administrators of the plc and Rok Building Limited.

The move comes just two months after social housing contractor Connaught went into administration.

Rok, which is headquartered in Exeter, has around 3,800 employees.
