Bevan Brittan recruits two partners to its Independent Health & Social Care practice

Bevan Brittan has boosted its Independent Health & Social Care practice with the hire of Sarah Skuse and Siwan Griffiths as partners in the London office.

Skuse is a commercial property lawyer with significant experience of advising health and social care clients on real estate matters including acquisitions and disposals, development work and various leasing structures with associated funding arrangements and advising national care home operators, funders, investors and developers, the law firm said.

Griffiths meanwhile is a regulatory specialist, advising care home owners, social housing associations, and independent health and NHS providers extensively on health and social care regulation. She previously worked for Bevan Brittan for more than eight years in the 2000s.

Skuse and Griffiths, who join from Capsticks, bolster a team that acts for more than 170 care providers, suppliers, funders and investors.

Vincent Buscemi, Partner and Head of Bevan Brittan’s Independent Health & Social Care practice, said: “Sarah and Siwan both bring high calibre experience and proven expertise in their fields. Sarah will bolster our capabilities in advising social care and other clients on real estate and commercial matters, while Siwan will deepen our strength in guiding social care and other clients on regulatory and compliance issues.

“These are testing times for the social care sector and by bringing Sarah and Siwan on board, we are signalling our commitment to supporting our clients in every way possible and bringing them the timely, practical and focused advice they need.”
