Housing consortium names 11 law firms to £50m legal services framework

The South East Consortium, an efficiency savings organisation whose members collectively manage more than 250,000 properties, has appointed 11 law firms to a £50m legal services framework.

The consortium, which includes councils, divided the framework into the following lots

  1. High value non-contentious work
  2. High value contentious work
  3. Housing and asset management
  4. Property
  5. Development
  6. Property sales
  7. Corporate governance and finance
  8. Employment advice

The successful firms were:

  • Ashfords (lot 3)
  • Batchelors (lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 8)
  • Capsticks (lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)
  • Clarke Willmott (lots 1, 2, 3, 5, 7)
  • Devonshires (lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)
  • Freeths (lots 5, 6)
  • Housing Law Services (lot 3)
  • Penningtons Manches (lots 1, 4, 5, 6, 7)
  • Sharpe Pritchard (lots 2, 4, 7, 8)
  • Sharratts London (lot 4)
  • Trowers and Hamlins (lots 1, 2, 6, 7, 8)

Members of the SEC include a number of councils as well as housing associations.
