- Details
The Legal Aid Agency (LAA) has begun the procurement of a three-year contract for housing and debt telephone advice services in England and Wales.
The LAA said it was inviting applicants to submit a tender for a 2018 CLA contract to deliver CLA specialist telephone advice services in these categories of law from 1 May 2020.
The contract will be offered for an initial period until 31 August 2021. The contract is subject to the contractual provisions in relation to early termination and the LAA’s discretion to extend for up to a further two years i.e. to 31 August 2023.
The Agency added that it was seeking to award a single contract through this procurement process, “in addition to the two existing contracts which will continue”.
The contract gives two estimated values for the contract, with one saying nearly £345,000 and the other more than £1m.
The award criteria are: staffing the service (weighting: 22), delivering a quality service (weighting: 14), capacity planning for the service (weighting: 18), implementation of the service (weighting: 6) and price (weighting: 40).
