North of England social landlords name five law firms to £3m framework

Two housing associations in the North of England have appointed five law firms to a legal services framework agreement worth up to £3m.
North Star Housing Group provides homes across the Tees Valley, North Yorkshire and County Durham.
Castles and Coasts Housing Association owns and manages more than 7,000 properties in rural and urban communities across the North of England, with around 75% located in Cumbria.
The successful firms were:
- Ward Hadaway
- Forbes Solicitors
- Devonshires
- Capsticks
- Brabners
The requirement was offered across three main areas as follows:
- Area 1 - Property Transactions, Development and Construction.
- Area 2 - Housing Management and Dispute Resolution
- Area 3 - Corporate and Commercial
Thirteen tenders were received. The framework was awarded on the basis of quality (weighting: 70%) and price (weighting: 20%).
