Stuart takes top legal role at Peterborough City Council

Peterborough City Council has appointed Alison Stuart as Assistant Director and Head of Legal & Democratic Services.

Stuart joined this month after six years as Principal Housing and Regeneration Solicitor at the shared legal service operated by Thurrock Council and the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

She was named Individual Local Government Lawyer of the Year at the inaugural Local Government Legal Awards in 2014.

Stuart is a director and national lead for housing and regeneration at Lawyers in Local Government.

Peterborough has a shared services arrangement with Rutland Council.
