Ex-Swansea Council lawyer joins Browne Jacobson in Cardiff

Barrister and former local authority lawyer Rebecca Blackwood has joined Browne Jacobson’s newly opened office in Cardiff.

The law firm said she brings with her more than 20 years’ experience in family, child, adult, mental capacity, and social services law.

Blackwood previously spent five years at The City and County of Swansea Council, advising and representing on various matters including adult and child cases in the Court of Protection, education appeals and governance matters.

Prior to her role at Swansea Council, she worked as a barrister for many years at Southernhay Chambers, which after a merger with Rougemont became Magdalen Chambers.
