Former Ombudsman joins Committee on Standards in Public Life

Dr Jane Martin, the former Local Government Ombudsman, has become a member of the Committee on Standards in Public Life.

Dr Martin, who took up her appointment as a member of the committee from 1 January 2017, received a CBE in the recent honours list for services to local government. She served as the Local Government Ombudsman for seven years.

Michael King was appointed by Communities Secretary Sajid Javid last week to succeed Dr Martin as the Ombudsman.
